Gokiburi Melodic DM in the tradition of later "Gothenburg" alumni. The playing is technical, fast and frenetic with plenty of interesting contrasts and of course, the slower "three-four" headbangers which the genre is famous for. Piano and synths add a modern twist with an occasional switch to clean pseudo-classical guitars. There's even a Visual Kei vocal influence in Polaris. The spectre of metalcore stays mostly away, except for the occasional "breakdown" and track 9. Overall, very solid album. Favorite track: ONYX -The Distorted Instance-.
